Performance and Visual Arts Summer School for Children

Performance and Visual Arts Summer Programme for Children

The Academy of Dance Arts’ will this summer be offering performance and visual arts programme for children from ages 5 (born in 2012) to 13 (born in 2004). Through this fun-filled programme in the performing arts, children will gain an appreciation of the performing arts. This programme is open to both boys and girls.

Activities will include:

– Dance and choregraphy

– Drama

– Music and Singing

– Painting, art and making of props

– Puppetry

– Stage design

– Make-up

The students will be working together towards a small production which will be organised towards the end of summer. Throughout the summer school, all the activities will build up to this production. This will reinforce in our students a sense of teamwork and of working together towards a common goal. These are very important skills and values which need to be instilled in our children from a young age. The production will give the students the opportunity to show off all that they would have learnt during the summer school. The performance will be held in the studios of the Academy which will be arranged into one large performance space.

The summer programme will also include six outings which are all aimed at building further the children’s appreciation for the arts and will serve as inspiration for the final production.

Classes will be held in the studios of the Academy in Mosta. The premises are fully air-conditioned. This will ensure the continued comfort of your children.

There are limited places for this programme. In fact, we will accept only 140 children. In this way, we will ensure that we can give your children personalised attention.

The Academy will also be offering afternoon dance classes. For more information about the afternoon programme send an email to info@dancearts.com.mt.
