Summer Dance Intensive 2023

Summer Dance Intensive 2021

We are very excited to announce that we will be offering a Summer Dance Intensive programme for dance students from the age of nine (Ballet Grade 3) up to senior vocational level. This is a very exciting programme which is open to both boys and girls and which will give dancers an important opportunity to develop their dancing and on-stage performance skills. The programme will help students build their self-confidence, improve their posture and technique, and develop their musicality.

The Summer Dance Intensive 2023 is a three day programme which will be held during the morning. Classes will be held in the studios on Mondays and Fridays and online on Wednesdays. The programme will last seven weeks and will be starting on Monday 10 July and ending on Friday 1 September. There will be no classes during Santa Maria week (14 to 18 August).

Students will receive four hours of training per day for three days every week. Classes will include Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Commercial, Choreography, Repertoire, Jazz, Yoga and many more exciting subjects. The programme will also include classes which will focus on other aspects which are very important in the development of dancers including musicality, drama and body expression.

The Summer Dance Intensive programme is open to students of all schools not just to students of the Academy of Dance Arts. Students must have at least done their Ballet Grade 3 exam by the end of June 2023 to join the programme.

Our professional faculty of teachers will be leading the classes of the Summer Dance Intensive. These include Ms Fiona, Ms Daphne, Ms Tamara and Mr Warren. They will be joined by other teachers who are also professionally trained and carry several years of experience in their respective fields including music and drama teachers, and yoga instructors. The studios are all fitted with Harlequin Sprung Dance Floors covered with Harlequin Vinyl Flooring. This ensures that our dancers have the best dance floor on which to train which minimises the risk of injury. Click here to read more about our studios.
